Space door

My teacher gave me three different recording all about a space door, Lift, metal doors and truck reverse. My intent was to edit these audios so that they play together in correlation and also add effects in order to change the sounds of these audios so that they sound like a space door.

The first alterations that I began making to the audios was its size/ length. the lengths of the audios which is seen in the first image is very long and I did not like that. I trimmed the videos, which by the way had not effect on the recording as most of it is repetition. and then aligned them in the beginning of the tab so that I could see them all easily and they are neat.

On the top their is a cycle area, with the cycle area I was able to highlight a specific part of my audio in order so that the playhead does not just keep going and playing, which is very annoying as when it does that you have to keep continuously dragging it back down.

The first setting I began experimenting with was the EQ, When ever I changed the placing of each dot I was able to alter the frequency, Whenever I did this the audio would always end up sounding higher or lower pitched, which was fun.

I then started playing with the audio effect slot, and included a stereo space designer. This was an interesting effect as I could  create this kind of ghostly effect. This made my audio sound like an echo. I used it on my lift so that the sound would be continuos.

Evaluation ;

This task was not to difficult for me, the part I would say I found difficult was the part where I had to add effects to a specific scene. When I was adding effect for example the space designer I noticed that it would affect all the recordings when I only wanted it to have an affect on one. In order to overcome this problem I selected the track before I selected the effect. The main effects that I played with was pitch and the ominous sound.I wanted to make my space door sound like it in in a tunnel or long hollow way and be continuos.
